Toe-rrific
6/20/02 - So I haven't written anything for a while now. I guess I've been too busy with stuff to write anything good, and not much has happened since January. I mean, stuff has happened, but not a lot to talk about. I'm thinking this could just become more of a blog, where I just write what's been going on, but that seems too micro-level for me. I don't think anyone wants to hear about the people I bumped into each day, unless it's something really weird like a parapalegic juggler (which would be pretty amazing and probably real inspiring).
One thing that has been going on since January that is starting to get resolved is my toe. My left big toe to be precise. I banged it up pretty good last year while riding my bike out at the lake, and then it got ingrown or something. Didn't look ingrown, but they did their ingrown operation on it. Didn't hurt for a while cause they numbed me up real good, but there were a couple good days of pain. Now it's getting better and only looks slightly nasty, which is a big improvement over how it used to look.
Unfortunately my toenail is real narrow on that foot now. They chopped off a few millimeters on both sides, and I don't know if it's gonna grow back. Probably not. Now I've got something that makes my feet look even more funny than they already did.
At least it doesn't hurt the same way it used to. I had gotten really good at not putting pressure on it in certain places, and avoiding hitting it on things. It was a constant bright red, but didn't really bother me on a daily basis. Now it only hurts in a couple places (not sure why, probably still healing), and it's more a pinkish color now. Maybe it'll be a pasty white again soon.
Hard to imagine that anyone would read this entire thing regarding my toe. A small chapter in my life that I'm sure I'll remember, and hopefully never return to. My right big toe is still good, hopefully it will stay that way.
Big toe pain is bad.-Luke
