What the ...?

1/26/02 - So it's a new year now. 2002. That's a palindrome. Not gonna be another one for a long time. It's already started off weird, though. I'm sitting at my computer doing some work, and I get a message from a friend. "Hey, check out http://thegeneral-online.com/" So I do, and what do I see? ME. That's right, The General decided to start their year off by making me "Person of the Week". How strange.

I never thought my stupid home page was really worth anything, it was just a hobby. Some family and friend look at it once in a while, because I put up new pictures or whatever. How The General found it, I'll never know. This friend that contacted me just checks the site on a semi-regular basis, and was surprised to see me there too. He tells me he actually knows the guys, but I know he wouldn't have made the suggestion for them to mock me.

Of course they take random comments and it makes me look like a dork (which I guess I can't argue with too much), but they really had to look through the site to get the info they use. I wonder if that makes them even more pathetic than me, because they spent a while going through a loser's website and then making up graphics and stuff. Maybe they just have way too much time on their hands.

I'm not gonna go into the details of what I think of their website, but needless to say I think it needs some work. I don't know where they're hosted, or who built the site, but they should take some time and rework it. Maybe it looks good on their machines, I dunno.

Other then this strange event, my year has been alright. School has started again, and I've been working outside school as well. Keeps me busy. Only a couple more semesters and I'll be out with a job somewhere. I hope. If not, I can always spend my days writing editorials and looking for webpages that mock me. Yay.

It's still weird.
